Established in 1984, Jasubhai Foundation is a charitable trust which supports worthy causes in the areas of Art and culture, Education and Healthcare. Here is a list of some of the projects that the foundation has supported in the recent years.
Jasubhai Foundation has made substantial contributions towards art and culture by supporting two stalwart institutions in this field, the Shanmukhananda fine arts and Sangeet sabha and the National centre of Performing arts (NCPA). It has also supported the music school at the NCPA for furthering the cause of music education.
Jasubhai Foundation has over the years encouraged many upcoming artists and has a collection of many diverse artists from accross the world.
The Foundation has contributed substantially in the medical and healthcare sector. It has helped set up an eye hospital in Kalol (North Gujarat), established The Shanmukhananda Jasubhai RK Shah medical centre in sion and has been associated with the Harkisandas Hospital for a long time.
An endowment has been established at the IIT gandhinagar to promote excellence in education and research with a “Jasubhai Memorial Chair”, and a state of the art auditorium.
In the village of Chattral in Gujarat, girls were not encouraged to study as there was no school in the vicinity, the foundation has helped set up an instituition in the village.
In another village of Anera, A gandhian school has benefitted greatly with the setting up of a Library and multimedia teaching aids with the aid of the foundation.
